3rd Hole of Sudden Death (Hole 17)

Tuesday, October 2nd, 2007

Larry drives 1st, his shot comes up short and right, OB. Tony’s comes up in the same spont. Larry throws a 3rd shot in the same spot. All 3 shots are OB so far. Tony’s next lands in bounds near the tree and up and down will win it. Larry lands back right and in bounds. Both players throw long but in bounds against the hay bails.

Tony makes a tough short putt into the wind for a 5 and makes it into the USDGC! Gratz Tony.

2nd Hole of Sudden Death (Hole 1)

Tuesday, October 2nd, 2007

Wind’s really kicking up strong. Larry tees first, catches wood but a good kick sends him into the fairway. His up shot goes long. Tony’s turnover as he calls, get newer. It’s a putt but a long one, maybe 30 footer, he misses. Larry hits a tough downhill putt into a tough wind. We’re still tied.

1st Hole of Sudden Death (Hole 18)

Larry’s drive goes OB but his 2nd shot makes the corner. Tony’s second goes OB he catches metal and is parked. Larry’s 3rd comes up short but he makes a tough down hill putt. Still tied.

Hole – 9 (actually 18)

Tuesday, October 2nd, 2007

Everyone goes backhand and lands safe except for Jonathan who throws what looks like a nice roller. He hits leaves at the botton of a tree kicking right and going OB, but it is well up the fairway.

Tony’s upshot goes OB, Larry’s is safe up on the green but about 35 out with the basket 10 ft. below his feet. He makes the putt! Everyone’s going nuts.

They’re going to sudden death! Larry and Tony are tied.

Jonathan 5 – 32
Jesse 5 – 34
Larry 3 – 35
Tony 4 – 35

Hole – 8 (actually 17)

Tuesday, October 2nd, 2007

Wind is blowing pretty stiff in the face plus it’s swirling. This hole is treacherous!

Jonathan and Jesse come up short and are OB. Larry goes long and splashes water. Tony drops his in the middle of the green. Jonathan’s second ends up in the middle of the green. Jesse’s 2nd threatens to go long but drops in the back right. Larry’s 2nd gets flat and glides over the green long and wet. Larry’s 3rd turns over and lands safe in the front right corner.

Everyone played a safe up after they were on the green.

Jonathan 5 – 27
Jesse 5 – 29
Larry 7 – 32
Tony 3 – 31

Larry and Tony swap spots!

Hole – 7

Tuesday, October 2nd, 2007

Jesse throws a monster hyzer long, catches the fence but stays in! Jonathan and Larry throw straight thru the gap and have 20 ft. putts. Tony catches bamboo left side and it ricochets back about 10 ft.

Nice up for Tony, he’ll have a drop in for par. Jesse’s 25 footer spits out. Jonathan hits his putt, Larry misses his.

Jonathan 2 – 22
Jesse 3 – 24
Larry 3 – 25
Tony 3 – 28
