We have Arrived

Sunday, September 30th, 2007

Well much to our disappointment Burk’s was closed on Sundays. Sigh.

I played the course, shot a +8, with birdies on 4 and 9, a par on 17. I had trouble with 888 with an 8, still not bad for me overall. I was playing with Josh Anthon most of the round, I thought it was very nice of him to play with a scrub like myself while he was prepping for the USDGC. We had a good time talking all things disc golf. I did find out some scuttle butt, Steve Rico isn’t practicing as he has a neck injury, but will play in the USDGC.

The wind was decent most of the day but was blowing fairly hard by 5 PM. It was just a beutiful day for disc golf, this course is a real treasure, hats off to Jonathan Poole and everyone involved. -Jerry

Roc Hill here we come!

Sunday, September 30th, 2007

It’s 6 AM here in Orlando, Dave’s here and we’re waiting on Lee (he’s always late). We’re leaving in a few minutes to make the drive up to Rock Hill, SC. It’s about a 7 hour drive, I’m looking forward to some Burk’s BBQ for lunch. -Jerry

Weather Update, Forecast – Warm

Sunday, September 30th, 2007

Looks like the forecast has been updated again. Highs now appear to be in the upper 80s. The nights look cool with temps in the mid 50s. It doesn’t look likely that there will be any rain if the forecast is to believed. This fat guy has one question… where’s the fall weather? -Jerry

Trouble brewing for the final round on Saturday?

Friday, September 28th, 2007

It’s still too earlier to really know but most of the week looks like ideal conditions, temps in the low 80s and very little chance of rain, wind is predicted to be in the high single digits. Saturday, the final day of the competition has a 60% chance of showers, could be interesting. -Jerry
